Required ingredients

How to cook

Mix the lavender floral water and aloe vera gel in a suitable 100 ml glass spray bottle. Add fine lavender essential oil and close the cap tightly. Shake well before each use and spray onto the affected area of the skin. Gently massage and enjoy the soothing, cooling sensation on the skin.

Compresses for sunburn

Add 5 drops of lavender essential oil to two tablespoons of water. Stir well until the essential oil is completely dissolved. It is good if you are going to use a cloth for the compress, it should be made of natural cotton, and it is best to use 100% medical cotton or sterile medical gauze. Soak the compress and cool it in the refrigerator.

Change the compresses frequently as soon as you notice them getting warm, and re-cool them in the refrigerator. We recommend that if you are going to apply this type of care to children, you use Primavera Life's fine lavender essential oil, which is safer for them.

Compresses with floral waters

When the weather is very hot, children are at risk of heat exhaustion and, in more serious cases, heat stroke. We can easily and quickly cool their body with compresses of chilled floral water. The most useful floral waters (hydrolates) for compresses are those of lavender or chamomile. Here's how to apply them.

Soak the compress in lavender or chamomile hydrosol, or a combination of both (50% to 50%). Squeeze it and place it carefully on the burned skin. Prepare many compresses and keep them in the refrigerator. Use them throughout the day until the child’s skin cools down. This method is also especially useful for sunburns on the face or eyelids – just make sure the child’s eyes are closed. If the child’s temperature is over 38,4 degrees or if their body has not cooled down after 30 minutes, seek medical attention immediately.
