Why are there symbols for hazardous substances on some PRIMAVERA products?

Essential oils are concentrates of plants with many different ingredients. Some of these ingredients, considered individually, are classified as hazardous substances under the legislation on hazardous chemicals, for example as corrosive, flammable or dangerous to the environment. The law does not distinguish whether the ingredient is synthetic or naturally occurring in the essential oil. The legislation also does not distinguish when labelling whether the essential oil is in a 5 ml bottle or a 50 kg drum. Therefore, even small quantities such as 5 ml must carry the hazard symbols and warnings, even if these quantities are not harmful.
