- Organic tea tree essential oil (Melaleuca alternifolia) Primavera is obtained by steam distillation from the branches and leaves of an Australian plant of the Myrtaceae family. Among hundreds of varieties of Melaleuca, only this species produces the characteristic tea tree oil. With a cineole content of less than 5% and terpinen-4-ol of at least 30%, the oil combines skin care with good tolerance.
