How to deal with nail fungus?
Worldwide, the incidence of more dangerous fungal infections of the nails and skin is increasing. This is partly due to the fact that the population in many countries is aging or people generally have weakened immune defenses. One of the most common fungi is Candida albicans . It occurs naturally on the skin and mucous membranes of humans and, like other microorganisms, performs special tasks. However, if the skin flora is disturbed or there is an immune deficiency, infection with this fungus can be dangerous.
In Germany, health authorities are concerned by the fact that there is increasing resistance in the treatment of harmful fungal infections as well – so that commonly used drugs no longer help.
Essential oils have a proven fungicidal effect in combating nail fungus, and unlike medications, the formation of resistance is almost impossible due to the complex structure of the oils.
“Essential oils have proven their effectiveness in numerous studies, both for the prevention and treatment of fungal infections of the skin and nails.” – Anusati Tum, fragrance expert from the PRIMAVERA expert team
