- Alteya Organics organic prickly pear oil is obtained by cold pressing the seeds of the Opuntia ficus-indica – a cactus, typical mainly of Mexico. It is extremely rich in linoleic acid and contributes to the synthesis of ceramides, therefore it is suitable for sensitive, dry and mature skin. It nourishes, but is light, absorbs quickly and does not leave a greasy film. The seed content in the fruit is only about 5%: about 30 kg of seeds (from about 1 ton of fruit) are needed for 1 liter of oil – hence its higher price.

It can be used alone or in cosmetic formulas – facial care, massage oils, soaps, body and hair. Only on intact (unbroken) skin.
- Face: a few drops daily on the entire face – alone or after floral water/tonic.
- Scythe: a few drops along the lengths for shine or into the scalp; leave for 30–60 minutes, then wash with shampoo.
Dilution of essential oils in prickly pear oil: for face about 0,5% (1 drop per 10 ml); for body and massage about 1% (2 drops per 10 ml).
Bath: dissolve the essential oils first in salt, honey, milk or base oil, then add to the water.
For external use only. Keep out of eyes. Do not apply to broken skin. Before use, perform a sensitivity test. If a rash or redness occurs, discontinue use. Do not use if allergic to any of the ingredients. Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep out of reach of children. Consult a specialist during pregnancy and lactation.
