The versatility and ease of use of pumpkin seed oil allows it to be included in a wide range of skin, hair, body, hand, sun and lip care formulas. This oil contains high amounts of zinc, selenium and vitamin E, which help renew the skin and improve its complexion. With a low comedogenic index, the oil is easily absorbed into the skin, leaving it hydrated and renewed. The vitamin C contained in the oil supports the production of collagen, which maintains the elasticity of the skin, while simultaneously tightening and building its firmness.
Suitable for most skin types, the unsaturated fatty acids (such as palmitic, oleic and linoleic acids) in the oil, containing antioxidant properties, correct skin inflammation and support the healing and growth of new skin cells. The soothing and smoothing action of the oil evens out age spots and wrinkles. The antioxidants in the vitamin A contained in the oil protect the skin from sun damage. The vitamin B2 in the oil is great for dryness and acne, and also improves skin tone and radiance.
When applied to the skin, pumpkin seed oil's nourishing properties are known to be beneficial for people with skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis. In addition to fatty acids, pumpkin seed oil is rich in vitamin E and carotenoids, which help your skin look visibly younger.

How is Pumpkin Seed Oil extracted?
Although it's easy to assume that "cold pressed" means using low temperatures, some heat is generated during pressing or grinding, and the process allows up to a certain temperature to still be considered cold pressed, usually between 32 and 38 °C.
The aroma of the pumpkin seed, which is used for oil extraction, is preserved through the so-called light roasting, where the seed is exposed to heat of about 150°C for about one second or less. This is believed to increase potency as well as not impair the stability and antioxidant in the seeds. After a brief exposure to high heat, they are pressed and the resulting oil is passed through a fine-mesh sieve into a large drum, where it is left to clarify for four to six weeks before being bottled.
