DIY lavender bath bombs
The following recipe is suitable for making two bath bombs from the popular plant.

What do you need?
- 200 grams of baking soda
- 100 grams of citric acid
- 100 grams of corn starch
- dried lavender flowers
- 50 grams coconut oil
- purple food coloring
- 1 tsp lavender oil
- two acrylic balls with a diameter of four centimeters
How to prepare?
Once you have all the ingredients ready, you can start making the lavender bath bombs. Place the cornstarch, citric acid, and baking soda in a bowl and stir to combine well. Heat the coconut oil in a double boiler, then add it to the rest of the ingredients in the bowl.

Add essential oil
Once the mixture has cooled slightly, add the lavender oil to the bowl. However, it should be noted that your own taste plays a very important role in determining the intensity of the scent. To ensure that it is not too strong, it is enough to use one teaspoon of the oil. Furthermore, you should always use only a product that is suitable for this purpose and is gentle on the skin.
In the next step, four teaspoons of the resulting mixture are placed in another bowl. Add the food coloring to them. This way, they will not only smell like lavender, but they will also look the same color. Of course, if you do not want to color the bombs, you can skip this step. Now, a few lavender flowers are placed in one half of the first ball. Then, half of the purple mixture can be added. Then everything is pressed firmly. Now, the white mixture must be added. After being pressed firmly again, the second half of the ball is used to close it.
Place in the refrigerator for about an hour. The same procedure is performed with the second ball. The two bath bombs are then carefully removed from the mold and can be used immediately.
Truth lies in practice
Although making lavender bath bombs sounds pretty simple, you may need to practice the process a few times before you get the results you want. So practice makes perfect. It does require a certain amount of patience. But once you get the hang of it, you can make great, pleasantly scented bath bombs over and over again. They are suitable for both adults and children. They provide relaxation and make the skin supple. It is important to always handle bath bombs with care if they are not yet fully hardened. Otherwise, they can quickly break and the process of making them will have to be repeated.
Tip: Lavender bath bombs are suitable for your own use and also make great gifts. In this case, they should be packaged appropriately. For example, they can be given in a gift bag and wrapped with a small ribbon. If the balls are not used immediately and are not given as gifts, they should be stored in the most airtight containers possible to protect them from heat and moisture. This ensures that they can still be used after a while.
