- Organic lemon balm essential oil (Melissa officinalis) Alteya Organics is extracted by steam distillation from the plant of the Labiatae family. It has a sweet, fresh, citrus aroma, pale yellow color and watery viscosity – valued in aromatherapy for calming and skin care. The aroma brings peace of mind and a favorable feeling for nervous tension; in aromatherapy it is associated with comfort for headaches and menstrual discomfort, as well as for a feeling of heaviness in digestion. Thanks to its antiseptic properties, it finds a place in home cosmetics and aromatic mixtures (when properly diluted).
