Amla has applications in hair and skin care. Contains natural tannins and vitamin C (ascorbic acid); makes hair voluminous and soft; emphasizes curls. Added to henna/indigo, amla slightly shades reddish tones. It is also an excellent facial scrub. Amla is a natural herbal powder extracted from the fruit of Emblica Officinalis. This fruit has the highest vitamin C content in nature, and is well known in Ayurveda as a natural antioxidant. In powder form, amla has applications in natural hair and skin care.

For hair

• Amla is a natural hair conditioner. Washing with amla makes the hair silky shiny, highlighting the curls.
• Amla stimulates hair follicles and is successfully used in the fight against hair loss; prevents the appearance of dandruff and other skin problems
• Amla fights premature graying of hair
• Amla is also used to achieve cooler brown tones in a mixture of henna and indigo

Application method: Mix enough amla powder with hot water to make a thick paste and let it sit for 15 minutes. Divide your hair into sections and spread the mixture evenly. After a few minutes, rinse well.

For face

• Amla has a cleansing, exfoliating, antioxidant, antibacterial effect.

Application method: Mix 1 tbsp. amla with enough warm water to the consistency of a thick paste. Let it stand for 15 min. Apply and massage the mixture on the skin of the face, avoiding the eye area. Rinse after 10 minutes.
