- Copaiba balsam is an oily resin that is extracted from trees of the Copaifera species (Copaifera officinalis). The warm, balsamic aroma has a strong calming effect, supports inner focus and contributes to complete relaxation in the evening. The high proportion of sesquiterpenes – at least 50% beta-caryophyllene – is a real aromatherapeutic value with calming and soothing properties. The intensely fragrant balm is used as an active ingredient in skin and joint care products, as well as as a massage oil for gentle, soothing massages. To obtain the resin (also called resin), the tree trunk is carefully cut. In order to protect nature, rotational harvesting is applied every 2–3 years, which allows the trees to recover. The process is controlled by IBAMA and the certification bodies in Brazil.

Copaiba essential oil (balsam) is for external use only. Always dilute it in a carrier oil or suitable carrier before applying to the skin.
- Local / massage: maximum 4 drops in 50 ml organic almond or other carrier oil for individual body parts (e.g. joints). This is the recommended maximum dose on the label – do not exceed it.
- Skin care: Add a few drops (within the same maximum) to a cream container or lotion container and mix well.
- Bathtub: Mix the drops in advance with salt, honey or milk (emulsifier), then add to the water. Do not apply undiluted oil to the bath.
- Perfume / blends: use as a base note and natural fixative in aromatic blends.
- Try this: When using for the first time, test on a small area of skin.
